Coffee and Sun
The Hands to Honduras coffee fundraiser is now in full swing. I have plenty to sell, so if you are anywhere near me, let me know and I will get some to you. $10 a bag, and it is GOOD stuff!
In other news, we had a great weekend with lots of friends! Here I am with 3 of my "oldest" girlfriends (who are looking great, if I do say so myself). We had a get-together at my house on Sunday with the 4 of us and all of our kids (10 in all). My dear friend Debbie has been here in Vermont for the past few weeks after saying goodbye to her home in Ethiopia, and before heading to her new home in Nepal. Yes, the 3 of us who live here in Vermont and spend most of our time being moms felt a little "unworldly" in her presence, but we got over in after several red wine sangria type drinks!
More good news: yesterday it did not rain! An entire, full, uninterrupted day of no rain (not all sun, but NO RAIN). It was a great opportunity to check out the garden.
Lots of cucumbers hiding in there.
Carrots! Not really ready, but so fun to pull.
After our day of NO RAIN, we are back on track today for rain and thundershowers. And that is the extended forecast as well. Good news, if this weather pattern continues, we should have another dry day in about 6 weeks. I am being VERY sarcastic!
