Sunday

CLEAN
I did it!  One entire week of the CLEAN program.  I have had no caffeine, wine, sugar, wheat, dairy, or eggs.  Some of the other things that I haven't had, which I at first thought I would have, are oranges, strawberries, bananas, grapes and tofu.  Pretty limited diet, I have had to buy alot of new ingredients, which has sort of been fun.  But I don't really like the mid-day meal.  What I really don't like is the preparation of the mid-day meal.  It screws with my schedule.

I am still fighting a cold, and although I am on the mend, I am tired and my body is exhausted.

Hiking
We did do our Sunday Hike.  A short hike this week, just up Mt. Philo, with our friends and their two boys, but this week my sister and her husband joined us as well, and our friends brought a cousin.  Our group is growing.  We also had two dogs.  Of course, the kids beat us all to the top, and then played a game at the top which involved running, and then they ran down the mountain and beat us to the bottom.  It is very fun to see the kids so active and energized by being together and hiking so confidently.  And the adults have had a great time as well.  We don't often get to talk uninterrupted with other adults for extended periods of time.  The conversations that happen when you exercise together are always interesting and funny.  A great way to bond and strengthen friendships.

  1. We love hiking. We did a bit of hiking in the Green Mountain National Forest in college. Vermont is so beautiful, it must be just gorgeous this time of year!
